Pulled Pork Sandwiches (Crock-Pot)

This is some kick butt pulled pork. We served this to some friends, and when I told them is was made in the crock-pot, the cook in the family wanted to slap me. He usually grills his pork for some ungodly amount of time, like 18 hours. Now don’t get me wrong, his pork is simply wonderful it just takes much more preparation and watching over. I love my food, but i don’t have the time to grill for 18 hours. It’s that good that you would never believe it was made in a crock-pot. You’ll want to double this recipe for left overs…trust me. Holy smacks it’s good!

Serves 6

2 lbs boneless country style pork ribs
1 onion, slivered
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup of wickers hickory flavor marinade and baste
6 bakery style hamburger buns
3/4 bbq sauce (i make homemade, or use Sweet Baby Ray’s)
salt and freshly ground pepper

place meat in the bottom of a cold crock-pot
add onion, garlic, and salt and pepper on the top of the meat
pour wickers marinade around meat
cover and turn to low; let it cook for 8-10 hours
during the last hour add the bbq sauce

Now this is how we build them here at the Ogle residence. Mayo (Josh does this not me) on the bun, pulled pork, good quality dill or bread and butter pickle, and more bbq sauce.
